Why do you want to be a Vortigaunt?:
I think the roleplay as a vortigaunt is rather interesting, even without the powers you can stand in a room and feel like with the wisdom and knowledge of the vortigaunts, you can at least pull your own weight in the group.

(Again it has a few lore problems, but I stock piled some good reads I wrote awhile back)
Skaro originated on the vortiguant home world, He had knew many people there and lived life as a vortiguant normally would. However soon The fierce unstoppable force known as the combine attacked the vortiguant home world, Skaro and a band of other vortiguants were in the streets fighting the scattered combine forces, Until eventually they were over run by hunters, Skaro was the last of his friends alive, and he learned the valuable lesson not to fight face to face against the combine army.
Soon the vortiguants using the well known portal traveled the the planet Xen, Skaro was among these surviving vortiguants. And they were momentarily safe from the combine hoard, however this was short lived, and a combine patrol force came across the camp of Skaro, His new friend Zel 'Ba'Shar and Zel was captured and they bound him with chains and explosives. Not going to allow this he and a band of vortiguants launched an attack on the relatively small combine camp. Many of the Vortiguants had died however him and five vortiguants made it to Zel's holding quarters. The Combine were opening fire on the quarters, the only thing protecting them was ironically the strong combine walls.
Knowing there was no escape they knew they only had one shot at escaping, and that was through one of they're guiding forces most famous abilities..... To teleport. All of them gathered in a circle and charged their vortessense, The combine stopped glancing at the room so bright that a green hazy light was almost blinding coming through the building. And then suddenly it seemed like the entire base was black as night, when it was in fact normal day time. The vortiguants escaped back to their stronghold until Nilianith came up with his "mind control device" and enslaved the vortiguants under his own control. Planning to escape from the combine through a portal once again, They would take advantage of the black mesa incident, and launch Nilianith's Invasion of Earth.
The vortiguants under the control of Nilianith came through portals at the Black Mesa Research facility and started killing all the scientist, Eventually The one the vortiguants would come to know as "The Freeman" came and slayed Nilianith freeing the vortiguants once again. However The humans still considering vortiguants as enemy's and thus killed many on sight, This also led to many vortiguants being forced to kill humans, Not much was truly solved from freeing the vortiguants, if anything it made the humans in a worse situation. The facility was in rubble and the united states was going to nuke the facility, Vortiguants and humans alike were running from this bomb. And in the chaos and fighting Skaro was shot, his best friend Zel carried him with a group of vortiguants and humans who had joined up in an effort to escape.
Eventually they got out of reach of the nuclear bomb, however Skaro was still dangerously injured and was in so much pain, everyone was watching him lie down and expected him to die soon, The vortiguants got in a circle around him using their vortessense to try and heal him. However it was pointless they needed another vortiguant to save Skaro, When it seemed like he was going to die they were still concentrating trying to extend Skaro's life, Zel stood forwards towards the circle and put his claws in the middle of the vortessense ball being used to heal Skaro. The vortessense was extremely powerful and was beginning to melt his chains, He dropped his claws down quickly and all the vortessense of the vortiguants went into Skaro, closing his wounds. However the vortessense triggered the explosives on Zel's collar and killed him.
Skaro got up and asked "I wish to speak with Zel the savior of my life". No one there was able to say what happened, Skaro continued walking until he saw what happened, He had no response he stood there staring at Zel's corpse while it was sinking in Zel gave more then his life to save him. Everyone decided it was time to continue on. A couple of years later the combine had came through portals in north america, conquered North America, South America, Africa, and Europe, The rest of the world fell soon after. Skaro and his band of survivers wandered the wilderness of North america shocked to see all the creatures of Xen that had made their way to earth and ruined the landscape and wildlife. They found the outskirts of what used to be New York City.
They met up with a group of refugees and rebels and learned what happened to earth. They were all amazed and they heard an odd female voice saying "Attention ground troops, Judgement Waiver is now in effect". Not knowing what that meant Skaro went to a small pond to go get water, However overwatch had launched an attack on the base. Being on the outskirts of the base Skaro was able to survive. He now found himself alone in an alien world being ruled by what were aliens to both of them. Skaro found his way to a transport looking for food, he went in and then suddenly he could feel he was in flight. He was on a plane to city 17. Skaro later escaped the transport and found his way to a construction sight. He saw a pipe leading into some sort of underground city beneath the one flooded with combine. He wandered in.
Please write of a 15 line /me example of a Vortigaunt cleaning/roleplay:
/me Rummages through the garbage, looking for scrap equipment, not appearing bothered by the terrible smell of the area.
/me Pulls his hand back quickly as he were hurt, wipes off his hand saying "The pain of thissss rubishhh is nothing assss the pain of our ancesssstors".
/me Takes a few broken pieces of metal tossing them into his rucksack.
/me Says "We have the reusablessss to the resssside"
/me Continues walking down the sewer corridor.
/me Looks to the right startled by a sound, after a recent sewer sweep has him on his toes, in panic he would say "Death isss the vanguard of victory".
/it A young orange kitten walks away from behind a pile of garbage.
/me Looks at the kitten rather relieved at the sight, then begins chasing it saying "Dinner is ours".
/me Keeps running after the young kitten after tripping on a bag of garbage.
/me Says "Blasst it the wise are fools"
/me Looks Picks up his rucksack full of scrap parts and walks up to a heavily reinforced door, he would push a button letting out a rather unpleasant buzz as he would wait for a response he would stop and look at the bullet holes in the door rather fascinated, he would place his finger in a rather large dent as a loud bang would be released from the door.
/it The door would slowly pull into the wall opening, the gears not having maintenance on them in decades would release a sound nearly deafening.
/me Would cover his ears trying to stop the sound from the door.
Door Man: Would approach the vortigaunt saying "What ya need".
/me Would lower his hands, giving a rather confused look to the man at his grammar then would say "The partssss of liberation are here were issss the dealer"
Door Man: Would point to his right rather annoyed at the vortigaunts speach.
/me Walks to the right, rather nervous not seeing anyone, he'd go through the door and continue walking in a dark tunnel with a flashing light at the end of it. He'd approach the end of the tunnel and look in a room to see a pleasantly dressed man smiling/
Dealer: Says "Ah your back, have a seat....if you can"
/me Says "This issss not necessary in the body of ussss"
Dealer: "Lucky aren't ya little guy"
/me Says "Shhhallll we sssspeak of why we meet?"
Dealer: "Okay, it's just some scrap gun parts hold your lasers"
/me Says "Your Jokessss....are not enjoyed by us"
Dealer: Sighs "Okay, 80 tokens for the parts"
/me Says "Very well" and empties the ruckstack on the desk just to irritate the Dealer.
Dealer: Laughs a bit then drops the tokens on the desk, forcing the vortigaunt to sift through the garbage to find them.
/me Says "Where can we acquire a meal?" getting hungry after missing the cat.
Dealer: "Go back down the tunnel to the left, through the door and talk to the bar keeper, he can get you some grub."
/me Nods his head at the dealer finishes sifting through the tokens then walks out the door.
/me Walks back down the tunnel, going back to the entrance, he would then turn left and through the door.
Bartender: Says "Got tokens fo days son" is a loud cheerful voice.
/me Continues walking up the the bartender waving a bit for attention.
Bartender: "Hey vorty whatcha need?"
/me Says "The deeealer ssssaid we can acquire a meal from the bartender."
Bartender: Says "Yeah, just take this broom and sweep the place, got a headcrab I caught in the garbage."
